[To say Genji is at odds with the 'good Commander' is something of an understatement. The man is the very representation of the organization that turned him into... this, and the blue coat he wears, especially now, only serves to rub that fact in. His idealism often does nothing more than grate on Genji's nerves; it's the same issue he has with Mercy. Every now and then Genji almost finds himself believing it, almost, until reality reasserts itself. He's not here for friends, he's here to dismantle the Shimada. No one seems to get the picture no matter how much he pushes them away.
How's the damage, Commander Morrison asks, as if he can't plainly see the fact that Genji is missing limbs. Genji is silent for a few seconds, attempting to let how that question sounds really sink in, before he lets out a slow breath. The relaxation to the set of his shoulders that follows is a false one. The way the fingers of his remaining hand curl tighter against the edge of the table he sits on tells the real story.]
My limbs have been sent out for repair. [There's a forced neutrality to his voice as he says it, because otherwise Genji would never be able to get the words out. 'Limbs' and 'out for repair' are the worst combination of words he's ever had to use in reference to himself. It takes him a second to find his voice again.] I will not be able to enter the field until they are fixed.
[And then, because Genji hasn't been one to make much easy ever since he became part of Overwatch outside of anything having to do with dismantling the Shimada, he bulldozes right through to the real issue.]
We both know why you are here.
[He cares little for the Commander's attempt at easing into his lecture. Genji would rather get it over with so he can get his replacements and go. What he'll do afterwards is a mystery, but being anywhere but here is preferable at this point.]
