[When Overwatch took Genji on, Jack thought that he was ready for it, given his previous experience with McCree. He'd been a handful, so how much worse could this be? The mental gymnastics are well-practiced, at least. He tries to focus on the fact that they saved Genji's life and gave him a second chance, rather than the ulterior motives involved. He'd expected a certain degree of anger for the situation, but Genji has been something else. More than a challenge. It's almost exhausting.
The general petulance of the new cyborg reminds him of the shaky morals of his decision. Makes him face uncomfortable truths about himself and his organization that he can't quite weasel his way out of. That doesn't mean he isn't going to try, however. Jack is still known for his unrelenting idealism, and that carries over into his interactions with even the most stubborn and petulant of agents.

Genji.
[He doesn't sound angry, or disappointed--Jack's tone is largely neutral, not bothering with surnames. Still, he's professional, his back straight, hands at his sides. He's wearing his blue coat, as if he needed to be any more infuriating. Maybe he even looks a little concerned.]

[Angela had briefed him, of course, and he can see it well enough, but Jack doesn't want to open this conversation with chastisement. Best to ease into this talk.]
